How to Connect to the FDS 7 Days to Die Servers

This guide walks you through connecting to either of our 7 Days to Die servers - the vanilla PvE one (no mods required) and the modded Down Under Undead Hardcore server.

Before you start

• You need a copy of 7 Days to Die on Steam (or Game Pass).

• Make sure the game is fully patched.

• For the modded server, you'll need to install our mod pack (10-minute job).

Connecting to the PvE server (no mods)

1. Launch 7 Days to Die.
2. From the main menu choose Play Game then Connect to Server.
3. In the search bar, type pve.fairdinkum.online - or paste the IP directly.
4. Click the server in the list and hit Connect.

That's it. You'll spawn in with a fresh character. Say hi in chat.

Connecting to the modded server (DUU Hardcore)

The modded server runs a custom mod pack. You'll need to install it once - after that, joining is the same as any other server.

Installing the mod pack

1. Download the latest DUU Mod Pack zip from our Discord (#downloads).
2. Extract the contents into your 7DTD Mods folder. On most installs that's:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\7 Days To Die\Mods\

3. Launch 7DTD. The main menu should show "Modded" in the bottom-left corner.

Joining

1. Play Game then Connect to Server.
2. Search for play.fairdinkum.online or paste it in directly.
3. Hit Connect.

If you get a "mod mismatch" warning, you've got an older version - re-download the pack from Discord.
